In Australia World Teachers’ Day is celebrated on the last Friday in October. It is a perfect day to celebrate and acknowledge the work of educators in our schools.
World Teachers’ Day in NSW is this Friday 31 October!
As the big day draws near, there’s still time to recognise a “NSW Teaching Gem” in your community on our interactive map!
We’ve received 5,394 shout-outs from all over the state, including from Broken Hill to Grafton, Lindfield to Coffs Harbour, Eden to Newcastle and so many other locations.
Our celebration kit has all you need to celebrate our 170,000+ teaching workforce in NSW:
- Pop our posters up around your school/service and get family and friends to participate.
- Search the Map for messages for your teachers. Read them out at assembly or hand them out in the staff room.
- Share the Map in your newsletter and social media channels.
- Shout out your “gems” on social media using #WTD2025 and #NSWTeachingGems.
