May is such an exciting month in the world of Children’s Literature in Australia with one of the biggest reading events on the calendar taking place – National Simultaneous Storytime.
As well as being a VIP reader, your Australian Children’s Laureate Sally Rippin, is also the special guest host for the LIVE event on Wednesday 21 May 2025. Don’t forget to register. We have put the details later in the newsletter.
After the huge success of the International Children’s Summit at Bologna Children’s Book Fair, Sally has been travelling and spreading the word about her Laureate Program and books to even more children. But her work here is about to ramp up again, with an exciting Queensland regional tour, where she will be visiting hundreds of children and speaking with educators, librarians, teacher-librarians and parents about the importance of ensuring ‘All Kids Can Be Readers!’
Sally will be back to share her reflections on the busy month ahead in our newsletter out early June.
