Advocacy activities

This month FFLL is featuring Touchstone 7 which highlights the importance of learners spending time reading texts they choose independently. Engaging in independent reading as much as possible contributes to enriching vocabulary, broadening spelling knowledge, and deepening comprehension.

A new book, edited by Teresa Cremin and Sarah McGeown, Reading for Pleasure: International Perspectives, with contributions from leading international researchers, provides up-to-date evidence on the benefits of reading for pleasure and how it impacts the lives of children and young people.
