Symposium 2022

The inaugural Literature Symposium marked the first collaboration of its kind: thirteen Australian professional associations, organisations, foundations, and councils — together representing thousands of English and literacy educators, authors, artists, and community members — joined forces with the Foundation for Learning and Literacy to celebrate the power of literature.

Running as a free series from June through mid-November 2022, the symposium explored literature from every angle, with sessions spanning author and artist conversations, keynotes, and panel discussions, all highlighting how story can be woven into learning and development.

Below you'll find the full collection of talks from the 2022 symposium — the foundation of what has grown into an annual celebration of the power and pleasure of stories.
