Teacher produced video tours of classrooms: what matters for their teaching of writing?

This research paper written by Mantei and colleagues, offers a timely and thought-provoking discussion of a research project which investigated the “interplay between social, cultural and individual influences on the materiality of writing classrooms” (Mantei et al, 2024). Data were collected in the form of video tours created by teachers in Grade 3-6 classrooms. The findings demonstrate the complexities of writing classrooms in a time of extraordinary national curriculum reform. An interesting and informative read.
