About a third of the books celebrate Indigenous writers and illustrators from the classic Big Rain Coming to a fictionalised account of the Stolen Generation: Stolen Girl by Trina Saffioti or Black Cockatoo which follows a young Aboriginal girl as she explores the fragile connections of family and culture. There are so many outstanding books and units to choose from.
