For Green Square Public School in Sydney, the answer goes well beyond the traditional idea of school as a place defined by classrooms, timetables and learning that ends at the school gate

Designed by BVN, Green Square Public School and Community Spaces was created to bring together learning spaces and facilities shared with the wider community. 

At Green Square, the idea to open the school up and make it a living part of the community has shaped not only the building itself, but also how students, teachers and families interact within it.
